I hope everyone is enjoying a wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend. I am actually using this time to get caught up on
all my volunteer activities. One of those is the next National version of EventCamp, which is slated for Chicago in February, 2011.
At this time, our conference committee is very close to making some decisions regarding the specific dates and facility that will be utilized in Chicago, for this next chapter in the EventCamp Saga. I would anticipate that by this time next week we will have some firm news to share with you.
In the meantime just wanted to call out that some of our #eventprofs colleagues have scheduled a regional version of EventCamp for September 8-9, in Minneapolis/St. Paul. For more details regarding that conference, and to register, please click here.
Also, you may have noticed we have a new, official logo for the EventCamp Series. (See the header of this blog) We are really excited about that. The really cool thing about it is we crowd-sourced the design of it, through a website called Logo Tournament. Read Samuel J Smith’s article for the full story. Thanks to Jessica Levin for leading the charge with that project.
The new logo is available for anyone wishing to schedule a regional EventCamp. To access the various logos available please click here.
So… look forward to my next installment of this blog next week as we reveal the location of the next National EventCamp!
Have a safe and fun holiday weekend!
