About EventCamp
EventCamp is the world’s first industry gathering of its kind, a “BarCamp-style” conference. Our ongoing mission is to bring together like-minded professionals, to share best practices, and learn new strategies, for leveraging social media and technology to create enhanced event experiences.
The first EventCamp Conference was held on February 6, 2010, at the Roger Smith Hotel, in New York City. It was an incredibly successful event.

My company, The Venue Marketing Group, will be launching a new industry initiative in Texas called freshmeet media. It’s an online and eventually offline (print) portal for our industry to exchange best practices, post events, promote the industry, host educational events and…essentially…elevate meetings and events in Texas.
My colleague introduced me to EventCamp, and I am intrigued by this concept. I would like to visit more about your concept and what might make sense for collaborative efforts in Texas. We are very engaged with all the local event organizations, and freshmeet is literally launching this week.
